Vitishko reports suspension of Kuban's "Yabloko"

The Krasnodar Territorial Court has suspended the activities of the regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party under the lawsuit of the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ). However, local party members were not informed about this, said Evgeny Vitishko, the head "Yabloko" Party Branch in Kuban (another name of the Krasnodar Territory by the name of the main river).

The judgement was passed back on December 26, 2017, but became known only today, the information about it has appeared on the website of the Krasnodar Territorial Court. The MoJ's lawsuit demanding to suspend the "Yabloko" Branch arrived in the Court on December 11.

According to Mr Vitishko, they learned about the judgement only a few days ago, after one of the territorial election commissions (TECs) refused to register observers from "Yabloko". He added that the work of the branch was suspended for three months.

We intend to appeal against the judgement, but since it was passed on December 26, 2017, we are already late. In any case, we continue performing our activities as before," the edition "Yuga.ru" quotes Evgeny Vitishko as saying.

So far, the members of the "Yabloko" Party Branch are unaware of the reasons of the MoJ lawsuit and of the suspension judgement.
