NKR's authorities extend support programme for border villagers
The authorities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) have extended the programme of subsidizing tariffs for electricity and gas supply for residents of northern border villages. Local residents treat the programme as a great support. Besides, in border villages, shelters are under constructions to protect people from shelling.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the subsidy programme, which covers extra expenses for electricity supply for the population, operates in the NKR in the period from 2015 to 2018. In November 2017, the authorities extended the programme for subsidizing tariffs for electricity supply.
Artak Beglaryan, an adviser to the NKR's state minister, has noted that in Talish, 17 new houses are built for families who wished to return to their native village.
At present, evacuated residents of the Talish village live in the Alashan village, in other parts of the NKR, as well as in Armenia, reported Vilen Petrosyan, the head of the Talish community. According to his story, Talish people like new houses.
Gegam Aghajanyan, the principal of the school in the village of Matagis, has added that "after the April war, the villagers are also exempt from taxes for livestock and for land plots."
