State prosecutor tells about Nurmagomedov's appeals to his brother to escape from IS

Shamil Nurmagomedov, a native of Dagestan, accused of financing terrorism, urged his brother to flee from the territory controlled by the "Islamic State" (IS) and not participate in "turmoil among Muslims." This was evidenced by a fragment of brothers' correspondence read out today by the state prosecutor. Telling about the episode of money transfer, the prosecutor referred to an interview given to the "Caucasian Knot" by the father of Nurmagomedov brothers.

Shamil Nurmagomedov, the commercial director of a company located near Moscow, was arrested in Moscow on charges of financing the IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia.

According to the prosecutor, in his letters, Marat Nurmagomedov "shared plans of conducting combat operations."

He has also stated that, according to examination, Shamil Nurmagomedov "transferred funds to Marat Nurmagomedov, who used them to purchase military equipment."

In his turn, an advocate has noted that "in the correspondence there is not a word about Shamil Nurmagomedov."
