Social network users indignant over video with a smoking child from North Ossetia

A video, showing how a small child sitting on knees of an adult smokes a cigarette, was posted on the Internet. The Prosecutor's Office made a decision to check the family of the child and the conditions for his upbringing.

The video is posted on the page "Republic of Alania" on Facebook. In the video, the child sits on knees of a man whose face is not visible, and both are smoking. The man asks the boy questions, to which the child responds using bad words. Other adults who see them are laughing.

According to the website of the Prosecutor's Office for North Ossetia, prosecutors will assess "the activities of the prevention system institutions to identify children in a socially dangerous situation."

The video aroused the indignation of Facebook users. "The family members are to be identified and subjected to public condemnation," Aivar Kantemirov posted his comment under the video.

"What a disgrace. The child is to be immediately taken away from such parents!" wrote Zarina Kabisova.

"And, unfortunately, there are a lot of such parents. And if they were deprived of their parental rights, then others would behave properly," Larisa Gueva stated.
