Seven-year-old child shot dead in Chechnya
While playing at home with a traumatic pistol, a ten-year-old boy shot and killed his seven-year-old brother.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Chechnya, the incident occurred in the regional centre of Shelkovskaya on January 8. The boy took out a pistol from his father's safe when the adults were not at home. While playing, he shot at his seven-year-old brother. The bullet hit the child to his head, and he died at the place.
A preliminary investigation has been launched, and following its results, an institution of a criminal case will be considered, a policeman added. He has noted that the head of the family had to ensure the inaccessibility of the pistol for his children.
