Explosion threat at Baku railway station appears to be false

The Baku railway station, closed today for verification after a report on a bomb, has resumed its usual work.

Today, at about 12:00 a.m., it has been reported about an explosive device in a building of the railway station in Baku. People were evacuated from the railway station building, and train traffic and ticket sales were suspended.

At about 4:15 p.m., the search for an explosive device at the railway station ended and nothing explosive or suspicious was found in the building, reported Sevindj Gadirova, the spokesperson for the Azerbaijani Railways.

At present, the Baku railway station works as usual, Sevindj Gadirova has added.

The police have started an investigation to identify the person who reported the false information, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
