A woman from Makhachkala accused of involvement in armed underground

A case against a 33-year-old woman from the capital of Dagestan, accused of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF) in the territory of a foreign state, has been sent to court.

According to the public prosecutors' version, in 2014, the woman joined the ranks of the IAF operating in the territory of the foreign state. There, until this September, she was engaged in buying food and medicine for IAF members, cooked food for them and washed their clothes. During all that time period, she lived in different localities of the foreign state, reported the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

The criminal case was instituted against the woman under Part 2 of Article 208 from the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the territory of a foreign state in an armed formation not provided for by the law of this state, for purposes contrary to the interests of the Russian Federation). The case has been sent to the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala, its website reports today.
