Dagestan announces release of animated series about life of mountain villages

The animated series "A Masters' Aul" about adventures of a city teenager in a mountain aul (village) will be created with the help of a grant from the Russian President in the amount of 2.1 million roubles. The first three series will be released in 2018, reported Ruslan Salimagaev, an initiator of the project.

The public organization "Zhivoe Slovo" (Living Word) will be engaged in the creation of the animated series. The goal of the animated series is to describe the true values of mankind on the example of the history and culture of the peoples of the Caucasus, Ruslan Salimagaev said.

The idea to create the animated series appeared four years ago, but then authors were short of money. The project will be shown in no less than 1500 schools in Dagestan, and the animated series are also expected to be preliminary screened in cinemas, the TASS reports with reference to Ruslan Salimagaev.

The plot is based on a story describing how a teenager came to his relatives in a mountain village. There he has to abandon his gadgets and plunge into the life of the village in the bosom of nature. The teenager gets acquainted with a wise man and learns a lot from him.
