230 people come out to rally of defrauded housing co-investors in Volgograd
A rally of defrauded housing co-investors into five residential complexes in Volgograd was sanctioned for 200 participants; however, it was attended by 30 people more, the organizers have reported. The protesters demanded to finish building their houses.
The co-investors' rally was held today in Lenin Square from 12 a.m. to 2 p.m.; it was organized by the initiative group of the Housing Complex (HC) "Park Evropeisky".
Officials from the regional construction supervision agency and from the architecture and town planning department of the Volgograd City Administration had been invited to the rally; however, they never appeared, Alexander Nazarov, the organizer of the rally, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Mr Nazarov, co-investors are negotiating with the regional administration and construction supervision agency (Oblstroynadzor), "however, they fail to promise any progress this year in the construction of the HC 'Park Evropeisky'."
He has added that co-investors have themselves to guard the construction site, "which is plundered little by little." According to his story, defrauded co-investors had to repair the fence around their construction site at their own expense.
"We insist that the problems of defrauded co-investors of the Volgograd Region can't be solved without the help of the federal centre," the organizer of the rally has stated. "We don't believe in any promises that something could be settled by negotiations; moreover, it's very difficult to complete such a huge complex of 15 houses."
