Kadyrov suggests transferring Stalin's body to Georgia

The leader of Chechnya has declared the need to transfer the remains of Joseph Stalin to Georgia for burial.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, Ramzan Kadyrov has called for removing the body of Vladimir Lenin from Red Square and burying him.

In his interview to the "Interfax", Ramzan Kadyrov has noted that his position on the burial of the Vladimir Lenin's body "is not connected with the desire to hurt someone's political or human feelings."

The leader of Chechnya has emphasized "he is not talking of Lenin as a politician." "I'm talking about the body or rather about what has left of the body of the man who died about 100 years ago. The body should be buried. And we should put on his grave a monument he deserved, including by giving instructions and consent to repressions," noted the Chechen leader.

He has also noted that "it is necessary to show good will and transfer the remains of Josef Stalin to Georgia in order to be buried in his homeland." "Georgia was a part of the Soviet Union, led by Joseph Stalin. So, it will be logical and justifiable if Georgia gets the opportunity to bury him. And millions of Russian citizens will breathe deeply when they learn that the Stalin's spirit has left Russia," stated Ramzan Kadyrov.
