A shepherd blown up on a mine in Nagorno-Karabakh

In the Hadrut District of Nagorno-Karabakh, a 23-year-old shepherd was injured when he got blown up on a mine.

The incident occurred in the village of Tekh in the Syunik Region on November 19. Shepherd Arutyun Avakyan watched large cattle on the pasture of Vailoavan and stepped on a mine. He got shrapnel wounds to the areas of his shoulder and legs, the "News-Armenia" reports.

The wounded shepherd was hospitalized, and his condition was satisfactory, the "Voice of Armenia" reports.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 1, a soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army was blown up on a mine on the contact line in the Karabakh conflict zone.
