Fire victims from Mokok receive administrative warnings

Today, a Makhachkala court has considered administrative cases of 13 residents of the village of Mokok, who on November 13 tried to meet Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting head of Dagestan. The court issued warnings about the violation of the order of holding a public event to all the detainees.

On November 13, about 30 fire victims from Mokok gathered in the centre of Makhachkala. They intended to hold pickets with a demand of their due compensations and arrange a meeting with Mr Vasiliev. According to eyewitnesses, law enforcers used tear gas against the fire victims and detained more than 10 of them.

It should be noted here that on November 13, an activist Magomed Saidov was denied registration for the appointment with the head of Dagestan, Vladimir Vasiliev, on whom Mokok villagers put their hopes. Officials promised that the fire victims would be invited later, but nobody came out to talk to them.
