Head of Dagestan announces militaries' return from Syria

On November 13, Vladimir Vasiliev, the acting head of Dagestan, said that the battalion of military police will be stationed, after its return from the Middle East, in the village of Botlikh.

The RIA "Dagestan" reports referring to Mr Vasiliev that the battalion of military police from the Separate Motorized Rifle Buynaksk Brigade will soon arrive from Syria to the village of Botlikh.

Vladimir Vasiliev urged to make sure that all necessary conditions are in place for the militaries.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the strength of the Russian military contingent in Syria is estimated at 7000. Political analysts believe that the main land combat units of the grouping are made up of mercenaries from the "Wagner Grouping" and Chechen militaries.
