Chechen woman publicly apologizes for her complaint about power agents

Milana Nuralieva, the wife of a detainee suspected of using drugs, has publicly apologized for her complaining to Ramzan Kadyrov about power agents' extortions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that mass detentions of young people suspected of using narcotic and psychotropic substances were conducted in dwelling settlements of Chechnya. On October 24 and 25, at least 30 people were detained, local residents reported.

Power agents sent the detainees to clean the cemetery, Valid Batsilov, the head of the Nadterechny ROVD (District Interior Division), wrote in his Instagram.

According to a woman from the Nadterechny District, her friend wrote to the head of Chechnya in the Instagram that on the basis of the testimony of one drug addict, 26 people were detained, who are kept in custody without trial. Also, "she had pointed out that they demand 150,000 roubles for liberation, but later she had to apologize for this."

An activist of a Chechen non-governmental organization is sure that Nuralieva made her second appeal (with apology) to the head of Chechnya under pressure.

Earlier, Caucasus scientists claimed that the Kremlin was ignoring public humiliations of residents of Chechnya.
