In Azerbaijan, two persons killed in special operation
In the town of Khirdalan in the Absheron District, two persons were killed in a shootout. This is the second armed incident during one day in Azerbaijan in which people were killed.
The special operation was carried out by law enforcers in Tagiev Street.
During the special operation, two armed men opened fire on law enforcers and were killed, the "APA" reports.
According to the preliminary information, no local residents suffered. The territory where the shootout occurred is cordoned off by the police, the "1news.az" reports.
It is not reported what provoked the special operation in the district and of what the killed people were suspected.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 25, three persons were killed during a shootout while law enforcers tried to detain them. According to the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan, earlier, the killed suspects swore allegiance to one of the terrorist groupings operating abroad and were plotting a terror act to be committed in Baku during an opposition rally.
