Over 100 miners go to protest in Gukovo

In Gukovo, participants of the miners' protest have decided to prolong their protest until March 20, 2018, due to the lack of noticeable improvements with the payment of wage arrears.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the miners from the city of Gukovo, who worked at the mines of the "Kingcoal" Company, have been demanding to cover wage arrears at protest actions held in the form of rallies, pickets, and marches.

On October 9, about 100 miners gathered for a picket near the office of the "Kingcoal" Company in Gukovo. About 10 miners of the "Vostochnaya" mine joined the picketers. Together, the miners decided to prolong the protest until March 20, 2018, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The term of the sanctioned picket in Gukovo expires on November 7. However, since there are no noticeable improvements and the wage arrears have not been covered, it is decided to prolong the picket. This was explained to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Tatiana Avacheva, a member of the initiative group of miners.

According to her, the miners of the "Vostochnaya" mine and the miners from the "Kingcoal" Company will carry out pickets in one place (near the office of the "Kingcoal" Company), but at different period of time.
