Moscow residents make wine at Tbilisoba Festival

On October 7, the Tbilisoba Festival (Tbilisi City Day) was celebrated in the Moscow Hermitage Garden for the seventh time, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Each year, this or that region of Georgia is represented at the festival. In 2017, the festival was held under the sign of the Sairme region, famous for its healing waters, reported the official website of the event.

Visitors of the event were expected to take part in an updated programme. In addition to the traditional master classes on cooking Georgian food, a food court with Georgian restaurants and a concert programme, guests of the holiday could participate in pressing of grapes, visit a show room of Georgian designers, interactive lessons for children, master classes in Georgian dances and songs with many voices, and also listen to lectures on Georgian language.

People formed long lines near the food court, where guests could taste such dishes as khachapuri, khinkali, phali, and mutton shashlik. The visitors were especially impressed by pressing of grapes, where residents of Moscow and guests of the Russian capital could put on rubber boots and press grapes to find pleasure in trying themselves in the role of winemakers.
