IS claims responsibility for two attacks in Dagestan

The terrorist organization "Islamic State"(IS) banned in Russia claimed responsibility for the killings of policemen in the Kizlyar and Babayurt Districts of Dagestan. This is reported on the website of the NCO SITE Intelligence Group with reference to the militant-affiliated agency "Amaq". The NCO SITE Intelligence Group is engaged in monitoring the activities of terrorist groupings on the Internet.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 30, a body of a policeman with stab wounds was found in the Kizlyar District, and his car was found burnt down in the Babayurt District. On October 1, in the Babayurt District, another district police inspector was shot dead near his house.

On October 1, after the killings of two policemen, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the Babayurt and Kizilyurt Districts of Dagestan. During a special operation in the Babayurt District, two persons were killedidentified as Djumageldi Adjiniyazov and Kamal Ibragimov, residents of the Bolshaya Zadoevka village.

According to the Telegram-channel for the "Directorate 4", in the Kizlyar District, a district police inspector was killed by two IS supporters. Later, they were joined by another militant, and together with him, the criminals killed a district police inspector in the Babayurt District.
