Remains of a Red Army soldier found in KBR’s mountains
Remains of a Soviet soldier's body and ammunition from the period of II World War were found in the Elbrus District of Kabardino-Balkaria. This was reported by the Border Guard Service Department of the Russia FSB for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR).
The remains of the soldier's body were brought for examination to the Division for the Elbrus District at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
"A medallion found nearby, which presumably contains the personal data of the Soviet soldier, gives hope for his identification," reported a source from the Border Guard Service as quoted by the "Interfax".
After the examination, the remains of the Soviet soldier's body will be reburied at the military memorial complex in the town of Terskol.
