In North Ossetia, villagers not affected by CTO legal regime

The activities within the counterterrorist operation (CTO) that took place on September 6 near the village of Chmi did not affect the traffic along the Georgian Military Road and the work of public institutions in the surrounding villages. This was reported by local residents. According to them, the special operation was carried out in a remote place in a gorge.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 6, law enforcers killed three men in the vicinity of the Chmi village in the Zaterechny District of Vladikavkaz. Later, another man was killed.

The militants were plotting a terror act, including possibly outside of Russia, reported a law enforcers involved in a special operation.

Residents of the villages located along the Georgian Military Road reported that during the counterterrorist operation (CTO), schools and shops worked under the usual working schedule.

A source from the law enforcement agencies noted that three killed militants were natives of North Ossetia.

350 people live in the village of Chmi, reports Zelimkhan Kodzaev, the head of the municipal entity, in charge of the villages of Redant, Chmi, Balta, Ezmi, and Nizhny Lars and Verkhny Lars. According to him, three killed militants "had no contacts with local residents."
