Official from Adygea dismissed after her daughter received a school medal

The head of the department of education in the Takhtamukay District of Adygea was dismissed for organizing the passing of the Unified State Examination (USE) at the facility, where her daughter was examined.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 21 at the graduation party in a school of Takhtamukay District, one of the medallists said that her classmate had undeservedly received a medal because she is the daughter of the official of the district education system. On June 22, the Ministry for Education and Sciences announced a start of checking the information.

According to the outcomes of the ministerial check, conducted on the order behalf of Murat Kumpilov, the acting head of the republic, Svetlana Paranuk, the head of the district education department, was present, as an organizer, at the USE facility, where her daughter took the exam. "The video archive data cause no doubts of the objectivity of the USE," the government of Adygea has reported. However, Ms Paranuk had failed to inform the Ministry about the arisen conflict of interests, thus having breached the federal anti-corruption law. In this connection, she was dismissed from her post; while the school principal was reprimanded.

The graduate in question wrote an application addressed to the school principal, asking to recall her medal for academic successes. The school pedagogical council has unanimously granted her application, says today the official website of Adygea's executive bodies.
