Rostov-on-Don housing shareholders state authorities are not ready for dialogue

The rally of shareholders of six unfinished housing objects in Rostov-on-Don was, according to organizers, about 200 people strong. They demanded from regional authorities to complete the construction or to return the invested money.

In June, Rostov residents filmed a video appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a complaint about the inaction of local authorities and a request to solve the problem of unfinished construction.

Today, in Rostov-of-Don, for the first time, a united rally was conducted by shareholders of different objects – Housing Complexes "Evropeiskiy" and "Blagodatny", and Limited Liability Companies "TrestKurortStroy" and UK "Pallazio", that is, houses along First Barrikadnaya and Zorge Streets, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

"Our apartments were bought by doctors, many pensioners and teachers, that is, most unprotected population groups. Swindlers have taken everything away from them," a woman from the HC "Blagodatny" has complained.

The shareholders of the HC "Evropeiskiy" demand either apartments or compensations for them. At a rally on February 19, 2017, they demanded from Sergey Sidash, Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, to appoint a specific deadline for commissioning the Housing Complex.

The resolution of the rally contains two demands: to promptly finish the problematic regional objects or return the invested money, and also to create a working group with representatives of the authorities, the prosecutor's office, the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov Region and shareholders from of the complexes.
