Ingushetia introduces ban on sale of alcoholic beverages during Ramadan and holidays

In Ingushetia, at once in three readings, deputies of the People's Assembly unanimously adopted a draft law to ban the sale of alcoholic beverages during the month of Ramadan, on the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, on the Children's Day, and on the Day of Knowledge.

The introduction of amendments to the law was initiated by the leader of the republic. An official from the Yunus-Bek Evkurov's administration suggested the deputies to speed up the adoption of the draft law in connection with the approaching month of Ramadan.

"When adopting the draft law, the deputies took into account the religious feelings of believers. The temporary dry law has a positive message and considers the special condition of the believers who observe a strict fast," emphasized Zelimkhan Evloev, Speaker of the Ingush Parliament, at its session as quoted by the "Interfax".
