Supporters of Alexei Navalny hold agitation actions in Astrakhan

In Astrakhan, participants of two pickets have informed the public about Alexei Navalny and also searched for volunteers to collect signatures for his registration as a presidential candidate. Each picket involved up to 10 people.

One picket was held in Trusov Park near the TsUM, while the second picket took place at the walls of the Astrakhan Kremlin in Ulyanov Park. The pickets were watched by officials of the city administration, the police, and the special services, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Picketers used agitation structures in forms of cubes with the information about Alexei Navalny, links to investigations held by the Anti-Corruption Foundation, and proposals to take part in agitation events.

"I agree with Alexei Navalny about the fact that at present, the corruption is one of the major problems of the country, if not the major one: it engenders negligent attitude to their duties among public employees," said Kirill, a picketer.

Elena, a 21-year-old picketer, has noted that she treats "the candidacy of Alexei Navalny first of all as an alternative."

The pickets were held in a calm atmosphere. The activists carried out a survey to find out the degree of recognition of the policy among the city residents, reports Ilya Dyakonov, the head of the Alexei Navalny's regional headquarters.
