RPA bribes voters, leader of "Apricot Country" Party asserts

Zaruhi Postanjyan, the leader of the "Apricot Country" Party, has demanded to open a drawer of the desk at the headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), where, according to her, there are lists of voters who were bribed to vote for the ruling party. Members of the RPA headquarters refused to open the drawer.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, Yerevan holds the voting at the elections to the City Council of Elders. The elections involves three political forces, including the ruling Republican Party (RPA), the "Apricot Country" Party and the "Elk" bloc. Five parties and blocs have announced a boycott of elections.

Today, an incident has occurred at the headquarters of Taron Margaryan. Zaruhi Postanjyan has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that she has got the information about bribes from her supporters.

According to Zaruhi Postanjyan, after she demanded to open a drawer, the chairman of the headquarters sat down on the desk to prevent anyone from reading the lists. Policemen arrived to the RPA headquarters and demanded to vacate the premises for operational activities. The leader of the "Apricot Country" Party together with her supporters refused to leave the room. Zaruhi Postanjyan has claimed that she "does not trust the police and that all actions should be carried out in her presence and in the presence of the media reporters." However, the police forced all the people to leave the room.

Zaruhi Postanjyan has noted she believes that "the results of operational activities of the police will not be in her favour."
