Ingush truckers reproach authorities for absence of reaction to protest

There was no reaction of officials to the action against the "Platon" system in Karabulak, the local truckers assert. According to their story, almost all the private carriers of Ingushetia have joined the protest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the main Ingush truckers’ gathering place was the entrance to Karabulak, where on April 10 more than 40 trucks grouped.

One of the protesting truckers named Adam said that, as at 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on April 18, about 30 trucks were still present in the protest camp near Karabulak.

"Some left the camp to make certain repairs, but, in general, none of the private traders of Ingushetia is working," he said.

Another protester named Amirkhan said that while Ingush truckers are on strike, the market has reoriented to non-resident carriers.

The protesters said that on April 17, people from the republic’s TV filmed footage about the protest, but it was not put on air yet.
