In Armenia, "Citizen Observer" reveals 162 violations at elections

After the opening of polling stations, 162 violations were registered. This was reported by a member of the public initiative "Citizen Observer". The General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia announced 13 violations committed during the voting.

"17 territorial election commissions did not start their work on due time. At 15 polling stations, observers registered incorrect design of the premises, where the voting takes place. At seven polling stations, there were problems with the casting of members of the election commission. Problems arose with devices for the electronic identification of voters at polling stations," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the member of the public initiative "Citizen Observer".

He has noted that those and several other violations were also revealed by observers of the Public Alliance "Independent Observer" and the Helsinki Committee.

In its turn, as of 10:00 local time, the General Prosecutor's Office of Armenia considered 320 reports of violations. According to prosecutors, only in 13 of the cases, "explicit signs of a crime of an electoral nature were revealed."
