Agrba's office states violations at elections in Abkhazia

In the eighth constituency, at two polling stations, observers from Gudisa Agrba, a candidate for Abkhazian MP, found ballots of a different format, a spokesperson of Mr Agrba's electoral office told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 12 this year, residents of Abkhazia elected their 35 MPs out of 137 candidates. The elections were found valid at all the 35 constituencies. The second round of voting took place on March 26.

According to Irina Agrba, the spokesperson of the electoral office of Gudisa Agrba, observers found violations at polling station Nos. 1 and 4. "It was in there that our candidate had scored fewer votes, while at two other polling stations she won," said the spokesperson.

According to her version, "these ballots could be used as one of throw-in technologies, the so-called ‘carousel’."

The candidate for the MP Gudisa Agrba has appealed to the Central Election Commission (CEC) demanding not to announce preliminary election outcomes "prior decision is made on the complaint," said Irina Agrba.
