In Kuban, Alexei Volchenko, leader of "Polite Farmers", detained

Today, court marshals of the Caucasian District have detained Alexei Volchenko, the leader of the movement "Polite Farmers", in a bus in the Cossack village of Kazanskaya and accused him of failure to pay child maintenance.

According to farmer Nikolai Maslov, the detention of Alexei Volchenko "is the beginning of repression against the farmers who plan to take part in the 'tractor march'."

"Farmers are summoned to the police. They force us to sign papers stating that we are allegedly warned of the responsibility for conducting unsanctioned events," Nikolai Maslov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to Nikolai Maslov, farmers are called by phone and invited to come to the law enforcement bodies. Those farmers who do not come to the police station are visited by policemen at home and warned that the action cannot be carried out, since it is not coordinated with the authorities, reports the farmer.

Let us remind you that on February 15, Alexei Volchenko was also detained in the case of bribing physicians to obtain a medical certificate for his father. According to Alexei Volchenko, he agreed with an investigator that he would meet a mediator who demanded a bribe for issuing the certificate and after that the mediator would be detained. However, as a result, Alexei Volchenko himself was detained.
