Abu Bakr al-Shishani, native of Chechnya, declared killed in Iraq
According to the power agency of the Iraqi Kurds, as a result of the military operation in Mosul, over 30 militants of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia, were killed including Abu Bakr al-Shishani, a native of Chechnya.
On November 27, 2016, it was reported that in Iraq, as a result of an air strike on the southern suburb of Mosul, Abu Anas al-Shishani, one of the IS leaders, also a native of Chechnya, was killed.
The operation was conducted by the Kurdish pemsherga forces, jointly with Iraqi militaries and the forces of the international coalition headed by the USA, the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to the “IraqiNews”.
According to the Kurdish anti-terror authority, the operation killed Salakh al-Saklaui, who called himself the IS’ Minister of Public Health, and Abu Fatyma al-Tunisi, who directed the IS’ finances in the northern province of Nineveh.
