Two opposition election blocs formed in Armenia

Today, the electoral list of the bloc "Free Democrats" – "Freedom" has been headed by Khachatur Kokobelyan, the leader of "Free Democrats". Gagik Tsarukyan, the founder of the "Prosperous Armenia" Party (PAP), is in the lead of the list of the bloc PAP – "Alliance".

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for April 2. Parties are getting ready by forming electoral blocs. However, only the ruling Republican Party of Armenia is ready for the elections; other parties and blocs, because of their internal conflicts, will play supporting roles, Armenian political experts believe.

The "Free Democrats" and the "Freedom" Parties will take part in the parliamentary elections as a unified bloc, Grant Bagratyan, the leader of the "Freedom", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.

He added that the proportional list of the bloc would be headed by the MP Khachatur Kokobelyan, the leader of the "Free Democrats".

The PAP and the "Alliance" have also signed an agreement to set up an electoral bloc today, Iveta Tonoyan, the speaker of the PAP leader, told reporters.

According to her story, the sitting of the PAP Board has decided that Gagik Tsarukyan, the founder and the leader of the party, will head the list of the bloc.
