Doctor Liza buried in Moscow

On January 16, Elizaveta Glinka, also known as Dr. Liza, was buried at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. She was the head of the "Spravedlivaya Pomosch" (Fair Aid) Foundation, and she was one of the victims to the Tu-154 crash near the coast of Sochi.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 25, 2016, a Tu-154 plane of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) which took off from Sochi to Syria disappeared from radar screens. Fragments of the aircraft body were found 1.5 kilometres from the Black Sea coast of Sochi at a depth of 50-70 meters. 92 people were on board of the Tu-154 aircraft.

Elizaveta Glinka is buried at the Novodevichy cemetery, reports the "Echo Moskvy" on January 16.

On the same day, other 47 victims of the plane crash, including members of the Alexandrov Ensemble, aircraft crew members, Anton Gubankov, the chief of the Department for Culture of the Russian MoD, and four journalists, were buried at the FederalMilitaryMemorialCemetery in Mytischi in the Moscow Region, the "Medusa" reports.

    A shootout took place near an office of the “Wildberries” Company in the centre of Moscow. As a result, at least one person has been killed and several others have been wounded, sources report.     The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
