Family of soldier killed in Nagorno-Karabakh asks to solve its housing problem

After the death in the April war of Andranik Grigoryan, a private of the Defence Army, his family, which has four minors, remained living in a dilapidated house. Family members ask the authorities to help with house repairs or to provide them with some new housing. The Prime Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh Arayik Arutyunyan promised to solve the problem.

Andranik Grigoryan perished in a fight on April 2, 2016. On April 10, his body was handed over to the Armenian party. By Decree of the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, he was awarded the medal "For Combat Service".

Zinaida Grigoryan, his mother, has noted that Andranik Grigoryan was the only breadwinner in the family, which, after his death, contains herself, two minor Andranik's sisters, his widow, who is 18, and his two sons, aged 3 and 1 year.

"This year, my son had planned to reinforce the house, but the war took him away. Now, I'm afraid that the house may collapse any moment... I can't cope with this problem alone," she said.

According to Zinaida Grigoryan, she agrees to any conditions to be offered the authorities, if only her children will live in a safe housing.

The Prime Minister Arayik Arutyunyan said that Nagorno-Karabakh has adopted a programme of improving the living conditions of families of the militaries, who perished during the conflict escalation.
