Investigators announce preliminary version of journalist's murder in Ingushetia

According to the preliminary information, Amir Kokurkhoev, a TV presenter and the spokesman for the Sunzha District administration in Ingushetia, was killed as a result of a domestic conflict. This is reported by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Amir Kokurkhoev died in hospital because of a stab wound. According to a source from the regional law enforcement bodies, Amir Kokurkhoev was attacked by a resident of the Sunzha District, who lived next door to the victim.

The law enforcement authorities have reported on identification of the man suspected of the Amir Kokurkhoev's murder. Officials refused to mention the name of the suspect.

A criminal case has been instituted on the fact of the murder. According to the preliminary information, the conflict, in which Amir Kokurkhoev was killed, was of domestic nature. "At present, the activities are underway to locate the suspect and detain him," reports the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
