Suspected terrorist killed near Azerbaijan-Dagestan border
Today, as a result of a special operation carried out by the Azerbaijani secret services in the village of Dyuztakhiroba, located near the border with Russia, Ramiq Nazir oglu Ragimov, a local resident, was killed. According to the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan, the killed man was a leader of militants, who fought in other countries.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani SSS did not specify where exactly Ragimov fought and how many people were involved in his grouping.
According to the press release, being a leader of militants, at his place of residence, the killed man was engaged in recruiting citizens in an armed grouping, organizing secret meetings of militants and coordinating of their activities. Besides, Ragimov was suspected of illegal purchase of firearms and explosives to carry out terror acts and organize kidnapping of people.
During the special operation, Ragimov refused to surrender and rendered armed resistance. In the course of the response measures, Ragimov was eliminated from service weapons by members of the operational group, reports the Azerbaijani SSS.
