In Makhachkala, police oust activists of "Mother’s Heart" out of square

Today, activists of the movement "Mother’s Heart" have gathered at the central square of Makhachkala. They were met by an official of the Makhachkala city administration. He proposed the women participating in the action to leave the square. However, the activists of the "Mother’s Heart" refused to leave the place. At about 2:36 p.m. Moscow time, the police began to push the activists out of the square, the "Chernovik" (Draft) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 26, it became known that mothers of the young people missing in Dagestan united in the social movement "Mother’s Heart". On November 14 activists of the "Mother's Heart" gathered in downtown Makhachkala aiming to remind the authorities about kidnappings and extrajudicial killings in the republic.

The today's action was attended by about 20 people. 'Government security officers in civilian clothes' also demanded from them to leave the place, notes the Dagestan edition "Novoe Delo".

As a result, according to the "Novoe Delo", the protesters had to go to the Avar Theatre.

According to human rights defenders, over the years, law enforcers are engaged in fabrication of cases against kidnapped residents of Dagestan. On September 30, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reported about a wave of kidnappings of residents of Northern Caucasus.
