In Gukovo, miners accuse Governor of failure to fulfil his promises

Today, at the rally in Rostov-on-Don, miners of the "Kingcoal" group of companies have stated that out of 50 million roubles, promised by Governor Vasily Golubev, Gukovo miners got only 20 million roubles. According to the miners, the regional authorities have failed to protect the miners' rights and to normalize the situation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, two buses with miners have been stopped on the outskirts of Gukovo. The miners intended to go to Rostov for a rally organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the October Revolution. According to the organizers of the rally, it was attended by more than 300 people.

Valery Dyakonov, one of the organizers of the miners' protests, has called on the Governor to "return the money to the miners, since it is in his power."

In his turn, Nikolai Nadkernichny, an organizer of the protest actions, has reported that in this school year, many of the miners were unable to prepare their children for school because of shortage of funds.

According to Nikolai Nadkernichny, out of 50 million roubles, promised to the miners by the Governor, the miners got only 20 million roubles.
