Wage debts to workers of Izberbash radio factory exceed 20 million roubles
The bosses of the Izberbash Radio Factory owe over 20 million roubles to their workers, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Dagestan and called on the bosses to immediately find money to pay the wage and tax debts.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in late September the staff of the Pleshakov Izberbash Radio Factory went on strike demanding for their wage debts. They stated that they had not received their wages since January.
On October 14, a sitting was held in Dagestan on the problems of the factory, where the participants expressed the need of prompt debt repayment, as well as the inadmissibility to disrupt the state defence order, the above Ministry has reported.
On September 19, after the workers went on strike, Mukhtar Medjidov, the former Prime Minister of Dagestan and the former chairman of the board of directors of the factory, stated that "the problem of wage debts must be solved within 10-14 days at most."
Firyaz Farmanov, the current Director General of the factory, believes that "the board of directors is guilty of the situation, since they failed to help with opening of accounts and solving the problems of financial and economic activities of the factory."
