In Georgia, observers lodge over 100 complaints about violations during voting

Despite violations, the voting at the elections to the Parliament of Georgia takes place in an organized environment, observers say.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that observers from the "Georgian Young Lawyers Association" (GYLA) wrote 62 complaints and made 48 remarks in the book of records, said Ana Natsvlishvili, the Chair of the GYLA.

In general, the voting process is peaceful, said Mikhail Benidze, the director of the NGO "Fair Elections"; so far, this NGO has lodged 64 complaints.

From 12:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., observers of the NGO "Transparency International-Georgia" wrote nine complaints, said Eka Gigauri, the head of the NGO.

Observers from the Office of the Public Defender of Georgia (Ombudsperson) wrote two complaints and made two comments in the book of records, the Office has reported.

So far, observers of the "Human Rights Centre" has registered 13 complaints and made 10 remarks in the record books.

Let us note here that Georgia is operating 3645 polling stations; and 55 – in 40 different countries around the world.

    The Central District Court of Volgograd awarded prisoner Ruslan Mitrofan compensation in the amount of 1000 roubles, recognizing that the administration of a prison hospital in Volgograd violated the prisoner’s right to receive medical care by not providing him with an HIV medicine.
