Workers of "Nairit" Factory demand to resume its operation

At their protest action, workers of the "Nairit" Chemical Factory have demanded to resume the activities of the plant. They want to bring the issue of the "Nairit" Factory for discussion at the Parliament.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed by one of the protesters action that today, two activists have been allowed to enter the presidential administration. According to officials, the new Minister of Energy and Natural Resources will examine the issue of the "Nairit" Factory. It was also promised that in the near future, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan will meet the former employees of the chemical plant.

The "Nairit" Factory, earlier engaged in production of chloroprene rubber, stays idle since April 2010. On September 30, Ashot Manukyan, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources, met workers of the "Nairit" Factory, who submitted to him a plan to save the chemical plant.
