In Yerevan, secret services detain 20 surrendered rebels

The anti-terrorist operation to free the police regiment building is completed. This was reported by the press service of the National Security Service of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that since July 17, members of the "Constituent Parliament" supporting the opposition hold the police regiment building in Yerevan. Initially, the rebels held police officers hostage inside the building, and they were released by July 23. On July 27, it became known that members of the ambulance crew, who arrived to assist the rebels, were taken hostage in the captured building. On July 31, all hostages were set free and the members of the group "Sasna Tsrer" (Daredevils of Sassoun) surrendered to avoid bloodshed.

The consistent and concerted efforts of special purpose units forced the members of the armed group to lay down arms and surrender. This was declared in the report of the National Security Service of Armenia, received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The secret services have arrested 20 people," states the report.
