Law enforcers release believers detained near Salafi mosque in Makhachkala
Law enforcers have released all the visitors of the Salafi mosque detained in Hungarian Fighters Street in Makhachkala on July 22. This was reported by sources from the law enforcement bodies. The believers themselves complain about systematic raids carried out by law enforcers.
Earlier, it has been reported that on July 22, law enforcers brought to the police stations about 20 mosque-goers after the Friday prayer.
According to a source from the police station, to where no more than 15 detainees were brought, the believers were released in the same evening after the verification of their IDs.
The information has been confirmed by the administration of the very mosque located in Hungarian Fighters Street. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by a source that law enforcers "regularly" carry out the raids of the above kind.
The mosque in Hungarian Fighters Street regularly comes to the attention of the Dagestani law enforcers, and, as a result, it appears in news reports. Detainees are usually brought to the police station and released after verification of their IDs and inclusion in the prevention registration lists.
According to human rights defenders, people are often groundlessly included in the prevention registration lists.
