Natives of Caucasus attend actions in support of Erdogan in Istanbul

Natives of Chechnya, Dagestan, and Kabardino-Balkaria took part in marches and rallies in Istanbul and welcomed the suppression of the attempted military coup by the Turkish authorities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 15, the Turkish government opponents from armed forces launched a coup attempt. As of today, 265 people were killed, and more than 1500 others were injured.

Today, starting from the night, Turkish cities hosted marches, rallies, and motor races to welcome the suppression of the coup attempt. In their hands, the marchers were carrying Turkish flags and portraits of President Erdogan, and they were shouting slogans: "Death to traitors" and "We are ready to die for Turkey", the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

In the Istanbul District of Başaksehir, the actions were attended by natives of Chechnya, Dagestan, and Kabardino-Balkaria. They have told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they condemn the attempt of the military coup in the country.

"The Turkish people have made a lot of efforts for their freedom and for stability in the country. And we are very impressed by what we had seen yesterday," Murad, a native of Kabardino-Balkaria, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
