FSB: Boris Nemtsov shot dead from hand-assembled pistol

Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow with a pistol hand-assembled from foreign parts. This has been reported today by the press service of the Russian FSB.

Boris Nemtsov was shot dead on February 27, 2015, in Moscow. Within his murder case, according to official data, five natives from Chechnya and Ingushetia were arrested; they have already seen their final charge. The figurants in the case are also two officers of the Chechen battalion "Sever" (North): Ruslan Mukhudinov, who is considered to be the customer of the murder and already announced wanted; and Ruslan Geremeev.

Today, the Russian FSB has reported that "one of the problems in the fight against illicit trafficking of weapons is a tendency of growth at illegal market of the demand for firearms made of the so-called mass-dimensional layouts and civilian weapons, which components are identical to their combat analogues."

According to the FSB, criminals use the above-described firearms to commit resonant murders, including the killings of Boris Nemtsov and Kantemirov, a deputy of the local self-administration of the Cherek District of Kabardino-Balkaria.
