Inessa Tarverdieva pleads partially guilty in case against "Rostov Amazons"

At the court session in the criminal case against the "Rostov Amazons", after the pronouncement of the indictment, two defendants have pleaded not guilty, and two others, including Inessa Tarverdieva, the suspected leader of the criminal grouping, have pleaded partially guilty.

On September 20, 2013, the defendants in the criminal case were charged of 30 killings of residents and policemen in the Rostov Region. According to investigators, the criminal grouping involved residents of the village of Divny of the Stavropol Territory, including Roman Podkopaev, killed in a shootout, 46-year-old Inessa Tarverdieva, her daughter Victoria, and residents of the Rostov Region, including Anastasia Sinelnik, a sister of Roman Podkopaev, and her husband Sergey Sinelnik, an inspector of the road police (known as GIBDD).

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that according to the indictment, the investigators have revealed the fact of the creation of a criminal grouping, with Inessa Tarverdieva and Roman Podkopaev as the leaders. According to the prosecutor, they involved their relatives in the criminal grouping.

Inessa Tarverdieva and other defendants are charged with five episodes of criminal activity, including the murder of a local resident committed in Mukhina Balka (the Aksai District) on July 6, 2007; the robbery of Mikhail Zlydnev, the chief of the department of regional Federal Drug Control Service (known as FSKN) committed in Aksay on February 17, 2008; the killing of the Kulkov spouses who were shelled dead in Novocherkassk on March 10, 2009; the murders and acts of robbery committed on the highway M-4 in 2008; and the murder of family members of Lieutenant Colonel Dmitry Chudakov of the OMON (riot police) of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, committed on July 7, 2009.
