Three policemen injured in conflict involving son of Makhachkala Mayor

Investigators have started the pre-investigation check on the fact of the road conflict in Makhachkala, which, according to the media, involved a son of the Mayor of Makhachkala and his bodyguards. According to sources from the law enforcement bodies, during the detention of the young people, one policeman got his finger broken, and two other policemen got bruises.

On June 6, the investigating agencies disseminated the information that on May 31, in Makhachkala, policemen stopped a Mercedes-Gelendwagen car to check the driver's documents; however, the driver refused to present his documents. The people who accompanied him provoked a conflict by using force against inspectors of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) and fled. According to a number of media, after that, a 22-year-old son of the Makhachkala Mayor was detained; however, he was soon released.

The incident involved bodyguards of the son of the Makhachkala Mayor, who were detained together with the young man and then were released from the police station, reports a source from the law enforcement bodies as quoted by the "Life".

According to the source, the bodyguards of the young man began to argue with the policemen and threatened them with the status of their client's father. After that, the law enforcers called for additional police forces and detained the participants of the fight.

The "Life" also reports that during the detention, two policemen got bruises and abrasions, and another policeman got his finger broken.
