Sochi Mayor's Office intends to auction off house occupied by Saveliev family

Members of the Saveliev "Olympic settlers" family have claimed that they do not intend to leave the house put up for the auction, until the City Mayor does allocate to them a cottage to replace their house demolished because of the construction of the Olympic highway M-27. Earlier, the Saveliev family members have abandoned a three-room apartment allocated to them in a resort village of the mountain cluster.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in December 2011, the Saveliev family consisting of five persons, including two children, was evicted from a barrack located in Acacia Street in Sochi. The housing was demolished during the construction of the Olympic highway. According to Lyudmila Savelieva, the head of the family, after the demolition of the house, the family did not receive any compensation or housing. The Saveliev family members occupied one of the cottages in a village for Olympic settlers. According to the Saveliev family members, the house was open and completely plundered, and they restored it at their own expense and took measures for its conservation.

"On June 2, the house, occupied without permission by the Saveliev family members, will be auctioned off," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Natalia Alfyorova, the chief of the Division for accounting and registration of municipal property of the Department of Property Relations of the Sochi city administration.

The information about the fact that the house is put up for sale is also available on the website of the Sochi city administration. In total, according to the Mayor's Office, in the village of Vesyoloe Psou, 43 houses are put up for sale at prices from 3 million up to 17 million roubles.
