Murder on Georgian-Abkhaz border recorded on video

Giga Otkhozoriya, killed on the border with Georgia, violated the passport regime and threatened an Abkhaz border guard. As a result, the latter was forced to use his service firearms. This was reported by the General Prosecutor of Abkhazia. The Georgian side insists that Giga Otkhozoriya was attacked, and this is confirmed by a video record.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 19, Giga Otkhozoriya, a resident of the Gali District of Abkhazia, was shot and killed in the village of Khurcha of the Zugdidi District of Georgia. The Georgians Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) holds Russia responsible for the incident.

"Officials from Tbilisi are well aware of the fact that border guards and other Russian agents have not been involved in that incident which causes sincere regret," notes the website of the Department of Information and Press of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Abkhazian Military Prosecutor's Office, two men tried to cross the border without documents and were stopped by border guards. One of the offenders went back, and the second, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, tried to strangle a border guard. This was reported by Alexei Lomiya, General Prosecutor of Abkhazia.

Relatives of Giga Otkhozoriya report that he had a conflict with the border guards, since they did not allow him to bring products to Abkhazia, the Georgian edition "Our Abkhazia" reports.
