Activist Khatukhov states being beaten up in Terek

A former policeman Artyom Khatukhov said that today he was beaten up in the city of Terek in the building of the supplementary office of the "Sberbank" (Savings Bank). The police said that his application was being checked.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 5, 2015, the 53-year-old Artyom Khatukhov was brought to the hospital with a brain concussion and facial injury. According to the victim, he was beaten up by an unknown young man, who was later identified and sentenced to a fine.

According to Artyom Khatukhov, today he came to the above "Sberbank" office to get the compensation awarded to him and collected from the attacker in the amount of five thousand roubles.

"I was in the office of the 'Sberbank' standing near the ATM. Someone kicked me in the back, I fell onto the terminal and hit my face against the panel," said Khatukhov.

Let us remind you that earlier Khatukhov admitted that the attack on him in the autumn of 2015 could be associated with his activeness in the issue of payment of compensations for the service on the border of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) zone. Back in 2009, he and 83 other former employees of the Terek ROVD (District Interior Division) filed a lawsuit against the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Kabardino-Balkaria claiming compensations for the service on the border of CTO zone during the two Chechen campaigns. The Nalchik court rejected their claims; and on July 29, 2015, the republic's Supreme Court upheld the judgement of the Nalchik court.
