Buynaksk: Deputies from "Veterans' Party" blame opponents for attempt to dissolve City Assembly

Gusein Gamzatov, a former head of Buynaksk, and Osman Osmanov, a member of the "Veterans' Party" have united and stood for dissolution of the City Assembly, said Osmanov's former supporters, explaining why they now support Zakarya Amirov, the protégé of Dagestani authorities. According to their version, it has not split the party, although three fellows refuse to support them.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 18 the Deputies of the City Assembly of Buynaksk addressed the issue of early termination of powers of the Mayor Gusein Gamzatov. According to Marat Djankhaev, one of the Deputies, Gamzatov had been sick for four months and left his post voluntarily. The resignation order is a fake, said Zairbek Valiev, another Deputy of the City Assembly of Buynaksk.

On December 30, 2015, Zakarya Amirov was approved in the post of the Acting Head of the Administration of Buynaksk. In this position he succeeded Ilyas Mamaev, appointed to the post on November 4, 2015. The oppositional "Veterans' Party of Russia", which has a majority in the City Assembly after the elections on September 13, 2015, expressed dissatisfaction with the candidature of Mamaev.

As reported by Atagishi Djankhvatov, the deputy chairman of the City Assembly, the Deputies decided to support Amirov in order not to run counter to the opinion of the republic's leadership. Besides, according to his story, the Deputies liked Amirov's working plan for the development of the city.
